Born in Athens, Greece as an Air Force brat, I now call the North Carolina coast home. My debut novel, Sunflowers Beneath the Snow, is a historical fiction set in Ukraine, my second novel, An Enemy Like Me, is set in WWII, and my third, Daughters of Green Mountain Gap, is about generational Appalachian healers in the 1890s. My latest book, 10 Little Rules for a Double-Butted Adventure, relates lessons I learned while riding across the US on a tandem bicycle.
